1. Introduction
The Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship 2026 is now open for international applicants looking to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degrees in Japan. Administered by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT), this fully funded opportunity supports outstanding students globally.
2. Scholarship Details
Successful applicants will begin their studies in April or October 2026. The scholarship covers:
- Monthly stipend of approx. ¥143,000
- Full tuition, entrance, and matriculation fees
- Round-trip airfare between your home country and Japan
3. Eligibility Criteria
- Age under 35 as of 1st April 2026 (born on or after 2nd April 1991)
- Minimum CGPA 3.4 with at least 16 years of formal education
- Final-year undergraduate or master’s students are also eligible
