At our Machike Terminal in Sheikhupura, we are expanding and strengthening our leadership team. We are now looking for a Manager Operations who can take ownership of day-to-day terminal activities, lead teams, and enforce critical safety and stock control protocols. This is a high-responsibility role where your leadership directly affects operational flow, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.

2. Job Description
Vital Petroleum is hiring a Manager Operations for its Machike Terminal located in Sheikhupura. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role ideal for professionals with experience in terminal or depot operations in the oil and gas sector.
The Manager Operations will be responsible for overseeing all terminal activities including fuel receiving, storage, dispatching, HSSE compliance, and coordination with logistics. You will be expected to manage teams, enforce safety and quality standards, ensure stock accuracy, and maintain operational discipline across all shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day terminal operations including product receipt, storage, and dispatch
- Maintain stock control, recordkeeping, and loss/gain monitoring with accuracy
- Ensure compliance with HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, Environment) policies at all times
- Coordinate with transporters, security teams, technical staff, and management for operational alignment
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and safety drills in line with internal and external standards
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on product movement, losses/gains, safety incidents, and system improvements
- Respond to emergencies, product handling issues, or equipment breakdowns in a timely and systematic manner
- Train junior staff on safety, SOPs, and operational checklists to maintain readiness
- Maintain proper communication with central dispatch or head office teams to ensure smooth flow of operations
- Handle documentation related to incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure their completeness
- Monitor terminal equipment including pumps, flow meters, valves, grounding, and safety systems
- Maintain housekeeping standards and regulatory compliance set by local authorities and OMC guidelines
This is a field-based, hands-on position that involves real-time decision-making, physical presence at the terminal, and regular communication with teams. The role requires someone who can take command of the facility without delay, foresee risks, and create an organized work environment under strict timelines.

3. Eligibility Criteria
We are seeking experienced professionals who understand the dynamics of terminal operations and bring strong leadership to the table.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university
Professional Experience:
- 6 to 8 years of experience in terminal, depot, or fuel storage operations
- Previous experience working in an Oil Marketing Company (OMC) is highly preferred
- Proven track record of leading teams and ensuring operations run efficiently and safely
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of fuel handling, stock reconciliation, and metering systems
- Knowledge of HSSE protocols, fire safety procedures, spill control, and emergency response
- Familiarity with terminal equipment such as pumps, filters, loading arms, grounding systems, and flow meters
- Ability to use stock control software and create operational reports
- Understanding of compliance and inspection requirements from OGRA, PESO, or other relevant authorities
Soft Skills and Work Attitude:
- Leadership and people management skills
- Confidence in decision-making, especially under pressure
- Systematic approach to documentation and reporting
- Strong communication in both Urdu and English
- Professionalism in working with internal and external stakeholders
This role is ideal for someone who already has experience managing a terminal or depot and is ready to lead a critical facility with full ownership. Candidates must be physically fit to work in a terminal environment and willing to be on-site full-time. This is not a desk job; it’s a role that requires physical and managerial presence daily.
