To support our expanding operations, particularly in energy and industrial commissioning, we are currently hiring a Senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer for our Saudi Arabian projects.


2. Job Description

SRACO is looking for an experienced and driven Senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to lead mechanical commissioning tasks on major construction and industrial sites. This role is based in Saudi Arabia and involves working closely with project managers, engineering teams, and site personnel to ensure that all mechanical systems are installed, tested, and functioning according to the project specifications and international standards.

This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, excellent coordination, and the ability to troubleshoot problems effectively on-site. As a senior-level professional, you will also play a role in mentoring junior engineers and ensuring the integrity of final handover documentation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute mechanical commissioning activities for new and modified systems on industrial construction sites
  • Review project designs and provide input on constructability and commissioning plans
  • Develop and follow commissioning checklists, method statements, and risk assessments
  • Conduct functional tests, performance evaluations, and ensure mechanical systems are ready for operational use
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues related to mechanical equipment and systems including HVAC, piping, rotating equipment, boilers, and utilities
  • Ensure all documentation is updated, including test sheets, inspection reports, and quality control forms
  • Work with other discipline leads (electrical, instrumentation, civil) to ensure system integration
  • Interface with clients, consultants, and vendors for technical clarifications and inspections
  • Maintain safety and quality compliance in all activities as per project and regulatory standards
  • Prepare progress reports and present findings to project stakeholders
  • Support training and technical guidance for junior team members

This role is full-time and will be based on-site at various SRACO-managed industrial or infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia.


3. Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate strong technical background, leadership skills, and a proven ability to work in large-scale engineering environments.


Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution

Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical commissioning and construction projects
  • Strong experience in working with industrial mechanical systems, utility setups, and rotating machinery

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with international mechanical engineering codes and standards such as ASME, API, and ISO
  • Good understanding of mechanical system design, instrumentation, and process flow diagrams
  • Strong command of commissioning protocols and safety requirements
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and engineering drawing reviews
  • Skilled in MS Office tools for documentation and reporting

Language & Communication:

  • Must have excellent written and spoken English for clear communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders
  • Arabic communication skills will be considered a plus
