2. Job Description

The SMP Program is now accepting applications for a wide range of entry-level and junior engineering positions across several disciplines. Candidates will be hired to support engineering departments in major industrial, infrastructure, and utility projects throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Available positions include:

  • Civil Engineer
  • Telecommunications Engineer
  • Mechanical Engineer
  • Electrical Engineer
  • Chemical Engineer

Each selected candidate will be assigned to a specific department or project team, based on their academic qualifications and organizational needs. These are full-time positions, typically within leading companies working on national strategic projects such as smart cities, water desalination plants, telecom infrastructure rollouts, highways, power transmission systems, and energy production facilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in project planning, design reviews, and feasibility studies
  • Assist in preparing technical reports, specifications, and engineering documentation
  • Work under supervision to perform calculations, simulations, and modeling
  • Support procurement, quality assurance, and compliance checks
  • Visit field sites to monitor installation, construction, and commissioning activities
  • Learn to operate industry-standard software tools used in the design and development process

3. Eligibility Criteria

Education Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines:
    • Civil Engineering

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0 (or equivalent)

Experience:

  • 0 to 3 years of professional experience in the relevant field
  • Prior internships, co-op programs, or capstone project work related to engineering is a plus

Technical Competencies:

  • Familiarity with engineering design and simulation software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, ANSYS, ETAP, etc.)
