Job Offering Company Introduction
Mubadara Engineering Services is a multidisciplinary engineering firm based in Jordan, offering innovative solutions across industrial automation, electrical systems, control design, and technical project management. With a foundation built on engineering excellence, integrity, and regional collaboration, Mubadara has positioned itself as a key player in delivering automation and industrial projects within sectors that are essential to national and regional development.
From its inception, Mubadara has prioritized quality engineering solutions that respond to real-world industrial needs. The company’s services encompass the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems, particularly tailored for industries such as chemicals, mining, manufacturing, water, and wastewater treatment. In these complex and often high-stakes environments, automation is not just about efficiency—it is about safety, sustainability, and system longevity. Mubadara understands this distinction and works closely with clients to engineer systems that are robust, scalable, and easy to maintain.
The team at Mubadara is comprised of electrical and mechatronics engineers, project managers, technical consultants, and industrial software specialists. This blend of disciplines allows the company to offer end-to-end solutions from the initial design concept to operational execution. Their staff is not only technically proficient but also trained in global best practices, ensuring that all solutions align with international engineering and safety standards.
What sets Mubadara apart is its commitment to field execution and hands-on engineering. Many engineering firms are satisfied with remaining theoretical or supervisory, but Mubadara believes in the importance of being present on the ground. Their engineers are often deployed on-site—be it a chemical plant in the desert, a mining operation in the hills, or a wastewater plant on the coast—ensuring that designs work in practice, not just in blueprints. This dedication to execution excellence makes Mubadara a trusted partner across Jordan and beyond.
Another hallmark of Mubadara Engineering Services is its collaborative approach. Projects often involve multiple stakeholders: clients, local contractors, technology suppliers, regulatory authorities, and end users. Mubadara excels at navigating these relationships. They invest time in understanding client needs, clearly defining project scopes, and adapting as conditions evolve. Transparency, accountability, and effective communication are key values upheld by the team.
The company is also an advocate for sustainable engineering. Their projects often include energy efficiency measures, automation to reduce resource wastage, and intelligent monitoring systems that detect anomalies before they escalate into failures. These practices not only save operational costs for clients but also reduce the environmental impact of industrial operations.
As part of its growth strategy, Mubadara regularly seeks to recruit talented engineers and project professionals who share its values. The company believes in nurturing engineering talent through training, mentorship, and real-world exposure. New hires are expected to contribute early on but are also given the support they need to grow professionally. For engineers passionate about automation and field execution, Mubadara offers a unique environment where ideas turn into reality and where learning never stops.
In its latest hiring initiative, Mubadara is inviting applications for the role of Projects Automation Engineer, a full-time position based in Jordan with potential assignments outside the country. This opportunity is especially suitable for engineers who are early in their careers but want to engage deeply with complex systems and challenging environments.
Job Description
The position of Projects Automation Engineer at Mubadara Engineering Services is a dynamic and field-oriented role aimed at supporting the execution of automation projects across diverse sectors such as chemical processing, mining operations, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.
This is not a static office-based job. Instead, it offers active engagement in project execution phases: from system design and programming to commissioning, site supervision, and client interaction. The successful candidate will be involved in automation project lifecycles, ensuring the technical soundness, functionality, and sustainability of each delivered solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning and design of automation systems for industrial plants and remote operations.
- Develop control system architectures, selecting appropriate hardware and software platforms (e.g., PLCs, SCADA, HMIs).
- Program and configure industrial automation components, primarily in Siemens, Rockwell Automation, or Schneider Electric environments.
- Conduct thorough testing and simulation of control systems before deployment.
- Support the commissioning of automation systems at client sites, ensuring they meet functional and safety requirements.
- Interface with clients to gather system requirements, clarify expectations, and deliver technical documentation.
- Supervise installation contractors and field technicians, ensuring adherence to design specifications and engineering codes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues during installation and post-commissioning phases.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including electrical engineers, panel builders, and project coordinators, to ensure project alignment.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including wiring diagrams, PLC logic charts, testing protocols, and change logs.
- Contribute to technical reviews and internal learning sessions, sharing insights from project experiences.
- Stay updated with the latest in automation technology and emerging trends in control systems.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy technical challenges, are not afraid to get their hands dirty in the field, and have a knack for translating engineering designs into working systems. It provides an opportunity to gain diverse project experience across industries, which not only strengthens technical skills but also builds problem-solving and client management capabilities.
Work Environment:
- The Projects Automation Engineer will be based in Jordan but must be open to assignments outside the country, depending on project requirements.
- Work involves regular travel to field sites, both urban and remote.
- Some projects may involve collaboration with international technology vendors and consultants.
- Site work may occasionally involve working in confined or hazardous environments, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Office-based work includes control system design, documentation, project planning, and report preparation.
Learning & Development:
- The company provides access to licensed software, programming environments, and professional development tools.
- Senior engineers are available for mentorship, especially during initial site deployments.
- Engineers are encouraged to propose improvements to system design, control strategies, and documentation methods.
- Exposure to different sectors (e.g., water, mining, and chemical) offers diverse learning opportunities.
This role promises to be both demanding and rewarding. It offers young professionals a chance to be part of projects that have a visible impact—whether it’s improving water treatment for a city, optimizing production at a mine, or enhancing safety at a chemical facility.
