Now, Evolution Engineering Services is inviting applications for the role of Electrical Engineer (NETA Level 3 Certified) for its Saudi Arabia branch. Job Description
The Electrical Engineer (NETA Level 3 Certified) will be responsible for leading and executing electrical testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities for high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems. This role is critical to ensuring that all electrical installations comply with international standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Testing & Commissioning Leadership – Lead, manage, and supervise all testing and commissioning (T&C) works for electrical systems on assigned projects. Oversee teams of engineers and technicians, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Technical Documentation – Prepare and review commissioning management documentation including design reviews, method statements, commissioning plans, and compliance reports. Ensure that all documentation meets client and regulatory requirements.
- Project Management Support – Work closely with the area manager to prepare project schedules, T&C plans, resource allocation, and evaluation forms. Track project progress and resolve any technical or logistical issues that arise during execution.
- System Testing & Diagnostics – Conduct acceptance testing, maintenance testing, and troubleshooting of various electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, and protective relays.
- Compliance & Safety – Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with ANSI, IEEE, NFPA, and other relevant standards. Implement electrical safety practices and mitigate arc flash hazards.
- Client Representation – Act as the company’s representative during client meetings, site inspections, and handover processes. Maintain professional communication and ensure client satisfaction.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing – Share new testing procedures and case studies with colleagues, and provide on-site training to subordinates when required. Promote technical knowledge development within the team.
- Financial & Administrative Tasks – Prepare and submit project invoices on time, and follow up on payment collections. Ensure financial documentation is accurate and complete.
- Quality Control – Monitor the quality of work performed by the commissioning team, ensuring all deliverables meet the highest standards of workmanship and reliability.
This role demands strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work in diverse project environments. The candidate must be capable of delivering projects on time, within scope, and in accordance with the company’s quality standards.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for the Electrical Engineer (NETA Level 3 Certified) position must meet the following requirements:
- Certification – Current and valid NETA Level 3 Certification is mandatory.
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience – Minimum of 5 years in electrical testing and commissioning of power systems, with a strong portfolio of successfully completed projects.
- Technical Expertise – In-depth knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, NFPA standards. Demonstrated proficiency in working with switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, and protection relays.
- Skills – Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring diagrams. Proficiency in conducting acceptance testing, maintenance testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Safety Knowledge – Comprehensive understanding of electrical safety practices and arc flash hazards, with a proven track record of implementing safe work procedures.
- Communication – Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to prepare technical reports and present findings to clients and management.
- Mobility – Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed, sometimes on short notice.
- Leadership Qualities – Capable of managing teams, delegating tasks, and ensuring consistent quality across all activities.
