Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for the Experienced Power Systems Engineer role must be qualified Electrical Engineers with a minimum of three years of professional experience in power systems studies. This experience should include work in short circuit analysis, protection coordination, and arc flash assessment. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in power system study software such as SKM, EasyPower, ETAP, or other equivalent tools used in the industry.
Experience in designing unit protection settings is required, including Bus and Transformer differential protection (87B & 87T), Restricted Earth Fault, and Directional Protection (67). Candidates must also have a solid understanding of cable sizing calculations in accordance with relevant standards such as IEC 60502-2 and IEC 60364-5-52. Knowledge of power quality analysis, harmonic assessment, and reliability evaluations is highly advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in delivering protection coordination studies and applying technical knowledge to practical solutions. A strong ability to interpret client requirements, propose solutions, and communicate effectively is essential.
