Company Introduction

Hino Motors is one of the most respected names in the global automotive industry, with over a century of excellence in manufacturing and supporting commercial vehicles. Founded in 1917 with the successful prototype of Japan’s first domestically made trucks, Hino Motors has consistently been at the forefront of innovation, durability, and reliability. Today, as part of the broader Toyota Group, Hino continues to uphold its legacy by providing vehicles that deliver value to customers worldwide, along with comprehensive after-sales services under its philosophy of “Total Support.”

Over the years, the company has expanded its operations across multiple continents, establishing a strong presence in Japan, Asia, North America, Central and South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Oceania. This global network not only ensures access to the best markets but also reflects the trust customers place in Hino Motors as a brand that prioritizes customer needs, safety, and environmental responsibility.

Hino Motors has pioneered several breakthroughs in the automotive industry. In 1953, the company launched Japan’s first under-floor engine bus, known as the “Blue Ribbon.” In 1971, Hino introduced the Red Engine, which set new benchmarks for fuel efficiency, reliability, and durability. The innovation streak continued into the 1990s when Hino Motors released the world’s first commercially available hybrid vehicle in 1991, marking the beginning of a new era in environmentally friendly transport solutions. These achievements highlight the company’s focus on sustainability and forward-thinking development, aligning with global trends in reducing emissions and conserving resources.

Another significant milestone in the company’s history was in 1997 when Hino Motors dominated the Dakar Rally by securing first, second, and third places in the truck category. This accomplishment demonstrated not just the engineering strength of Hino vehicles but also the durability and performance that the brand promises to its customers under extreme conditions. More recently, Hino Motors has continued to integrate advanced technologies into its vehicles, such as the Pre-Collision System (PCS), making strides in safety features for heavy-duty and commercial vehicles.

In addition to its global presence and technological leadership, Hino Motors places great emphasis on its corporate philosophy known as the Hino Credo. This philosophy underlines the company’s mission to contribute to society by offering mobility solutions that enhance quality of life while reducing environmental impact. The organization’s action guidelines also reflect its dedication to ethical conduct, compliance, and respect for local regulations across all regions of operation.

As of March 31, 2025, Hino Motors continues to be guided by its strong leadership, with a Board of Directors aligned with the long-term strategy of the Hino and Toyota Group. With plants such as the Koga Plant in Ibaraki Prefecture (established in 2012), the company has continued to expand production capacity while focusing on sustainable growth and global competitiveness.

Now, as Hino Motors strengthens its human capital management, the company is seeking to hire an experienced Assistant General Manager – Human Resources for its Karachi operations. This role is pivotal in aligning HR strategies with organizational goals, managing compliance, supporting workforce development, and ensuring that the company’s people-first philosophy continues to drive its success in Pakistan.
