Job Description

The position of Mechanical Design Engineer (Transformers) involves working within the Transformer Design Team to ensure that the company’s products meet technical, quality, and customer requirements. The role requires the preparation of detailed mechanical drawings using design tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. These drawings will include components like transformer tanks, radiators, covers, and accessories.

In addition to drafting, the engineer will perform basic engineering calculations. This includes evaluating material strength, dimensions, and appropriate material selection to meet performance requirements. Candidates will also prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and provide necessary technical documentation for use by manufacturing teams and quality departments.

Another core responsibility is to review customer specifications and ensure that designs comply with international standards such as IEC and IEEE. This ensures that the final product aligns with customer expectations and industry regulations. The role also demands coordination with production teams to resolve routine mechanical issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.

The position is not limited to design work alone. It provides opportunities for the engineer to learn and apply best practices in transformer fabrication, working under the guidance of senior engineers. This mentorship will help candidates understand the broader scope of transformer design, from initial concept to production and delivery.
