Job Description

The Network Engineer will be responsible for managing ZIL Limited’s IT network infrastructure to ensure seamless operations across all departments. Key duties include maintaining and administering computer networks, including systems software, application software, hardware, and configurations.

The role also involves implementing and coordinating network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware. The Network Engineer will troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and system issues, replacing faulty network components when necessary. Liaising with bandwidth and last-mile providers to address leased line and link problems is another important responsibility.

The Network Engineer will configure and monitor virus protection software and email applications, ensuring network users can operate efficiently without disruption. Additional responsibilities include addressing CCTV issues, providing technical support for end-users, and maintaining comprehensive network documentation.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a graduate degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Mandatory certifications include MCSE and/or CCNA. Candidates should have 2–3 years of relevant experience in network administration or IT support.

A strong understanding of network monitoring tools, troubleshooting, and Windows Server environments is required. Familiarity with Cisco devices, network security practices, and maintaining IT hardware and software is essential. Candidates must demonstrate problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and the capability to work independently while managing multiple IT responsibilities in a dynamic environment. Experience in CCTV troubleshooting and network diagnostics is considered a plus.
