Job Description

The Production Engineer at SAFAMI Company plays a central role in the planning, execution, and supervision of fabrication works within the company’s production facility. The position requires a technically skilled individual with the ability to manage workflow, coordinate with multiple departments, and ensure that all manufacturing activities align with project requirements and client specifications.

The primary objective of this role is to plan and oversee the fabrication, welding, and assembly of piping packages, ensuring compliance with approved standards, codes, and quality expectations. The Production Engineer acts as a bridge between the design and execution teams, converting engineering drawings into tangible, high-quality fabricated components ready for installation or dispatch.

The role requires an analytical mindset, strong organizational abilities, and hands-on involvement in daily production operations. Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement detailed fabrication schedules in coordination with project engineers and workshop supervisors.
Plan material requirements, work methods, and inspection procedures for assigned fabrication projects.
Supervise welding, assembly, and finishing activities to ensure all work meets project specifications and international codes.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometric diagrams to plan production activities efficiently.
Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and consumables required for fabrication.
Monitor daily workshop operations, identify potential bottlenecks, and take corrective actions to maintain production efficiency.
Ensure all work adheres to safety procedures, fabrication standards, and client quality requirements.
Liaise with quality control and inspection teams to ensure that fabricated components undergo proper testing and documentation.
Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to optimize fabrication processes and resource utilization.
Maintain accurate production records, project updates, and performance reports for management review.
Participate in daily production meetings and provide input on progress, challenges, and material or manpower needs.
