Job Description

The Calibration & Testing Engineer (DAE Holder) position at HB Inspection Services is a key technical role responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of industrial instruments and systems through proper calibration and performance testing.

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in working with various types of measuring instruments and industrial tools, ensuring that all devices are calibrated according to national and international standards. This role involves both laboratory-based and on-site calibration, offering a diverse work environment with continuous technical exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform calibration, testing, and verification of electrical, mechanical, and process instruments.
Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with ISO/IEC standards.
Prepare detailed calibration reports and certificates with traceable results.
Conduct inspections to verify instrument performance and accuracy before equipment deployment.
Coordinate with clients to schedule calibration and testing activities.
Maintain tools, standards, and reference instruments in optimal condition.
Support the implementation of quality management systems and internal audits.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations during operations.
Assist in troubleshooting and repairing calibration-related technical issues.
Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new calibration technologies and procedures.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Calibration & Testing Engineer (DAE Holder) position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Education:

Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Technology from a recognized institute.

Experience:

1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in instrument calibration and testing.
Prior experience in an industrial, inspection, or testing environment will be preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of calibration standards and techniques.
Understanding of measuring instruments such as pressure gauges, thermocouples, flow meters, multimeters, and transmitters.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and calibration procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple calibration tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation standards will be a plus.
