Job Description
The position of Assistant Field Operator – Steam Turbine at Nimir Group’s thermal power plant involves direct responsibility for the operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of steam turbine systems. This role is highly technical and requires a strong understanding of turbine operations, safety protocols, and industrial maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Could you perform steam turbine start-up, smooth operation, troubleshooting, and shutdown in accordance with established procedures?
- Ensure the efficient operation of steam turbine auxiliaries, including lubrication systems, cooling systems, and steam supply mechanisms.
- Monitor system performance indicators to maintain efficiency and identify potential faults before they escalate.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance teams to coordinate preventive maintenance, corrective actions, and system upgrades.
- Report operational conditions, system performance, and issues to senior operators and engineers.

Eligibility Criteria
Education and Technical Qualifications
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical or Mechanical from a recognized institution.
- Additional certifications in turbine operations, safety, or industrial maintenance will be considered a plus.
Experience
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in the steam turbine field.
- Practical knowledge of steam turbine operation, troubleshooting, and auxiliary system handling.
