Job Description

As an Assistant Manager Logistics at Haidri Beverages Pvt. Ltd. (PEPSI Islamabad), you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the entire logistics and distribution cycle for all products. This role demands strong leadership, analytical skills, and a hands-on approach to operational efficiency.

Your primary goal will be to ensure zero delivery delays, minimum vehicle turnaround time, and cost-efficient logistics execution. You will also be required to oversee third-party logistics coordination, manage fleet operations, supervise the warehouse team, and ensure strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution
Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with organizational goals. Collaborate with sales, production, and customer service teams to ensure logistics solutions support business growth and efficiency.
Order Cycle Management
Direct and manage the entire order cycle—from vehicle arrangement and loading to last-mile delivery and customer confirmation—ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and cost-efficiency.
Vehicle Turnaround Time (VTAT)
Maintain an average VTAT of 60 minutes for all vehicles to support faster dispatching and improve resource utilization.
Zero Incident Policy
Ensure zero incidents during logistics operations by enforcing compliance with NHA laws, safety protocols, and proper documentation.
Delivery Timelines
Guarantee on-time delivery to all customers, as per agreed-upon schedules, while resolving real-time issues that may cause delays.
Third-Party Logistics Management
Liaise and negotiate with external third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure service quality, timely vehicle availability, and cost control.
Fleet Monitoring
Monitor all vehicles through tracking systems and maintain detailed reports on their status, route efficiency, and fuel consumption.
Vehicle Arrangement & Allocation
Arrange suitable vehicles based on daily sales demand and coordinate with the sales and warehouse departments for smooth dispatch operations.
Issue Resolution
Proactively address operational problems related to delivery, vehicle breakdowns, or route challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to the supply chain.
Warehouse Team Supervision
Supervise, coach, and train warehouse and logistics staff. Ensure proper work allocation, shift management, and team productivity.
Performance Metrics & Analysis
Define and track logistics KPIs such as cost per delivery, on-time percentage, VTAT, vehicle utilization, and warehouse loading efficiency. Recommend and implement improvements accordingly.
Compliance and Documentation
Ensure all logistics operations comply with legal regulations, company policies, and documentation standards, including delivery receipts, dispatch records, and compliance logs.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Requirements:

BBA/MBA (Preferred majors: Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or General Management)
Degrees must be obtained from an HEC-recognized university
Any certifications in supply chain or logistics (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) will be considered an asset

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in logistics operations, preferably within the FMCG sector
Candidates with beverage industry experience will be given preference
Proven experience in managing fleet operations, 3PL negotiations, and delivery KPIs is essential
Strong background in warehouse management and vehicle scheduling is a plus
