Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager – Mechanical will be responsible for managing plant-related mechanical operations, including:

  • Managing maintenance teams, assigning daily tasks, and ensuring optimal workforce utilization.

  • Overseeing equipment installation, testing, and commissioning in compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Liaising with vendors and contractors for procurement, repair, and maintenance services.
  • Ensuring compliance with all company HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures.
  • Reporting daily operational activities and maintenance performance to senior management.
  • Participating in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting shutdown and turnaround activities, ensuring timely and safe execution.

The Assistant Manager will also contribute to strategic decision-making related to plant operations, cost optimization, and maintenance planning, helping the company achieve operational excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Assistant Manager – Mechanical role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from a PEC-recognized institution.

Experience:

  • 4–5 years of relevant professional experience in plant maintenance, industrial operations, or mechanical engineering roles.
  • Experience working in manufacturing plants, power plants, or heavy industrial sites will be preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and industrial maintenance procedures.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and piping layouts.
  • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance systems (PPM/PdM).
