Job Description
The Automation Engineer will play a key role in the design, implementation, and optimization of automation systems for industrial and commercial projects. The position requires hands-on technical expertise along with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation and control systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations. This includes development, configuration, and troubleshooting of SCADA systems and related control platforms.
Analyzing system performance is a core responsibility of this role. The engineer will identify performance issues, diagnose root causes, and implement effective technical solutions to improve system reliability and efficiency.
The role involves close coordination with engineering, operations, and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions into existing and new systems. Clear communication and documentation will be required throughout project lifecycles.
The Automation Engineer will prepare technical documentation, including system manuals, configuration documents, and performance reports for internal teams and stakeholders. Maintaining accurate records is essential for compliance and operational continuity.
Preventive maintenance and system upgrades will form a regular part of the role. The engineer will ensure automation hardware and software are maintained to high operational standards and upgraded as required.
Compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and industry best practices is mandatory. The engineer will support safe system design and operation across all assigned projects.
The role also encourages participation in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing system performance, efficiency, and long-term reliability.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for this position must meet the following criteria.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in automation engineering is required, preferably within industrial or commercial environments.
Hands-on experience with control systems and SCADA platforms is essential for this role.
Candidates must be proficient in both Arabic and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in professional and technical settings.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills are required to handle complex automation challenges.
