Job Description
The PLC Programmer role is a contract-based position requiring hands-on expertise with Allen-Bradley PLC systems. Candidates will be working within an engine manufacturing environment, specifically supporting production at the Rocky Mount facility in North Carolina. The primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting and maintaining PLC-based automation systems to ensure smooth and continuous production.
Day-to-day tasks involve monitoring automation performance, identifying faults or system breakdowns, and resolving issues to minimize downtime. The programmer will collaborate with production and maintenance teams, ensuring that systems are functioning correctly and that improvements are implemented when required. The role demands adaptability and quick response, as powertrain production lines can be fast-paced and highly sensitive to disruptions.
In addition to troubleshooting, candidates may also contribute to system upgrades, modifications, and enhancements, ensuring that the latest technologies and processes are integrated into operations. This role offers the chance to work on critical projects with leading automotive manufacturers, providing valuable exposure to high-profile industry practices.
