2. Job Description
Position Title: Control System Application Engineer
Department: Engineering / Automation
Location: Lahore, Pakistan (with travel opportunities)
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Control System Application Engineer to take on the responsibility of designing and implementing industrial control systems for projects in Pakistan and abroad. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in PLC, DCS, and SCADA programming, along with an understanding of system integration, simulation, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation solutions using PLCs, DCS, and SCADA platforms
- Develop and maintain system architecture, I/O lists, logic diagrams, and control narratives
- Prepare detailed technical documentation including hardware/software design, testing procedures, and user manuals
- Conduct functional testing, simulation, and validation of control systems before deployment
- Lead on-site commissioning, ensuring seamless system startup and integration
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure smooth execution
- Provide post-installation technical support and system upgrades as required
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, control standards, and client-specific requirements
- Handle client communication and reporting during the execution phase
This position involves working closely with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable automation systems that support process efficiency and performance.
3. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or a related engineering discipline from a recognized institution
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in control system design, programming, and commissioning
- Exposure to industrial and commercial environments, preferably involving international projects
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Rockwell and Siemens platforms required)
- Experience with SCADA/HMI configuration (FactoryTalk, WinCC, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP
- Understanding of control panel design, I/O wiring, and system troubleshooting
- Ability to work with electrical drawings, instrumentation layouts, and process flow diagrams
