Company Introduction
Founded in 1991, INTECH Automation & Intelligence has grown from a specialized engineering service provider into a global automation powerhouse. With projects executed in over 50 countries, the company has earned the trust of leading oil majors and industrial organizations worldwide. Its headquarters in the United States oversee operations through regional centers in Pakistan, the UAE, Nigeria, and Oman.
INTECH’s core philosophy revolves around “Engineering Intelligence.” The company integrates hardware, software, and human expertise to design automation solutions tailored to each client’s operational needs. It offers end-to-end engineering services — from feasibility studies and detailed design to commissioning and long-term maintenance.
One of INTECH’s key strengths lies in its vendor-neutral approach. Instead of being tied to a single OEM, the company leverages platforms like Allen Bradley, Honeywell, Yokogawa, and Foxboro to develop customized solutions. This flexibility ensures clients receive optimized designs that suit their existing infrastructure and future scalability.
Sustainability and digital transformation are central to INTECH’s long-term strategy. By incorporating remote operations, data-driven insights, and control virtualization, the company helps industries move towards greener, more efficient processes. Its automation solutions have enabled oil and gas facilities to reduce energy consumption, improve process reliability, and achieve regulatory compliance.
With a diverse team of over 1,000 professionals, INTECH values its people as its greatest asset. Continuous learning, certification programs, and international exposure form an integral part of its employee development model. The organization’s engineering culture fosters curiosity, technical excellence, and accountability.
At its core, INTECH believes in shaping the future of industrial automation — one intelligent system at a time.
Job Description
The Control System Engineer at INTECH Automation & Intelligence plays a crucial role in the design, development, and commissioning of automation solutions for process industries. This position involves close collaboration with global engineering teams, clients, and on-site personnel to deliver reliable, efficient, and safe control systems.
The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing hardware for specialized control systems, including DCS, SIS, and FGS platforms. Expertise in Allen Bradley, Honeywell, and Yokogawa systems is essential. Experience in Foxboro systems will be considered an added advantage.
Core responsibilities include:
- System Design and Integration: Develop control and safety system architectures, ensuring they meet industry standards and client specifications. This includes designing panels, selecting appropriate components, and preparing control schematics.
- Project Execution: Participate in all project phases — from concept design and documentation to testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Hardware Engineering: Prepare wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and layouts for distributed systems.
- Software Configuration: Configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems according to control philosophies.
- Testing and Commissioning: Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), and pre-commissioning activities.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, user manuals, and project documentation in accordance with ISO standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration and project delivery.
- Compliance: Ensure designs and installations align with international safety standards (IEC, ISA, NFPA).
The role also includes field assignments at customer sites, requiring adaptability and technical problem-solving in real-world environments. Candidates must demonstrate a clear understanding of instrumentation, control logic, process diagrams (P&IDs), and cause-and-effect matrices.
Beyond technical tasks, the Control System Engineer is expected to uphold INTECH’s quality and safety culture. This involves proactive risk identification, adherence to safety protocols, and contribution to continuous improvement initiatives.
The company offers a collaborative ecosystem where engineers are encouraged to explore new technologies such as Edge Computing, IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), and Predictive Analytics. Engineers in this role have opportunities to work on digital transformation projects that reshape how industries operate.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications and competencies:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 4–5 years of experience in Industrial Automation and Controls, preferably with exposure to Allen Bradley, Honeywell, and Yokogawa systems.
- Knowledge of Foxboro Systems is advantageous.
- Proven expertise in hardware design, configuration, and troubleshooting of DCS, SIS, and FGS systems.
- Strong understanding of wellhead control systems, skids, and solar systems.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Ability to interpret and implement Functional Design Specifications, P&IDs, and C&E diagrams.
- Experience conducting FATs, SATs, and site commissioning.
- Competency in Microsoft Office tools and engineering software such as AutoCAD and EPLAN.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Commitment to safety, integrity, and continuous learning.
INTECH values professionals who are adaptable, motivated, and passionate about technology. Candidates with international project experience or exposure to the oil and gas industry will be given preference.
