This role is intended for professionals with strong hands-on experience in weld line operations and automotive manufacturing, who can lead production teams and ensure smooth plant operations.

Job Description

The Deputy Manager – Production position at PROCON Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is a senior operational role based at the Port Qasim Plant in Karachi. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing production activities, with a specific focus on weld line operations within an automotive manufacturing environment.

The role requires hands-on involvement in daily production operations. The Deputy Manager will oversee weld line processes, ensure production targets are met, and maintain efficiency across shifts. A key responsibility is to ensure that welding operations are carried out according to approved procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

Production planning and line balancing form an important part of the role. The Deputy Manager will coordinate with planning and engineering teams to ensure optimal utilisation of manpower, machinery, and materials. This includes identifying bottlenecks, implementing corrective actions, and improving workflow efficiency without compromising product quality.

Quality compliance is another major responsibility. The candidate will ensure adherence to SOPs, quality systems, and internal audit requirements. The role involves close coordination with quality assurance teams to address non-conformities, implement corrective and preventive actions, and maintain compliance with IATF and ISO standards.

The Deputy Manager will lead production supervisors, technicians, and line operators, ensuring discipline, motivation, and adherence to production schedules. Eligibility Criteria
