Job Description
The position of Deputy Manager Warehouse is a critical leadership role within the logistics and supply chain team at Haidri Beverages Pvt. Ltd. (PEPSI Islamabad). The role is designed to ensure high efficiency in the warehousing functions, maintain inventory integrity, support timely production needs, and oversee a disciplined operational environment.
This position requires strong analytical, managerial, and leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in warehouse or logistics roles within the FMCG sector, particularly those involving beverage or perishable product management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Warehouse Operations Management
- Oversee and streamline all warehouse operations, ensuring smooth inflow and outflow of raw materials and finished goods.
- Enforce operational compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
- Guarantee accurate dispatches and timely deliveries to internal and external customers.
- Monitor daily activities in the warehouse including unloading, stacking, documentation, and material issuance.
2. Inventory Control & Accuracy
- Maintain 100% inventory accuracy at all times through regular cycle counts and audits.
- Implement FEFO (First Expiry First Out) protocols to ensure proper material rotation.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance for monitoring shelf life and reporting non-compliant stock.
- Reconcile stock levels between physical inventory and SAP records regularly.
3. Raw Material & Production Support
- Ensure the timely issuance of raw materials to production lines as per demand and schedule.
- Maintain optimal storage conditions for sensitive raw materials and packaging components.
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams for demand forecasting and timely availability of items.
4. Logistics Coordination
- Plan and manage VTAT (Vehicle Turnaround Time) to avoid delays and ensure efficient loading/unloading.
- Ensure proper vehicle allocation and route optimization in coordination with third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
- Minimize demurrage charges through timely dispatch planning and execution.
5. Vendor & Contractor Management
- Liaise with 3PL partners and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled regarding transportation and handling.
- Review service levels of external contractors and implement corrective actions if performance metrics are not met.
6. Team Supervision
- Lead a team of warehouse executives, shift in-charges, forklift operators, and helpers.
- Allocate manpower based on daily workload and ensure team efficiency across shifts.
- Conduct training and development sessions on safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
7. Loss Control & Reporting
- Investigate and address all warehouse losses, damages, or discrepancies.
- Implement root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, or Pareto Charts for recurring issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation on incidents and share insights for system improvements.
8. Compliance & Safety
- Enforce health and safety regulations within the warehouse.
- Ensure proper PPE usage, fire safety readiness, and compliance with environmental guidelines.
- Organize periodic safety drills and maintain logs for inspections.
9. System Management & Documentation
- Use SAP or other ERP tools to manage stock levels, order fulfillment, and data analytics.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for senior management.
- Ensure documentation accuracy in stock movement, GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), issue slips, and gate passes.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the role of Deputy Manager Warehouse at Haidri Beverages Pvt. Ltd., candidates must meet the following criteria:
1. Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a BBA or MBA in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Logistics.
- Certifications such as APICS CPIM/CSCP or SAP MM/WM knowledge will be a plus.
2. Professional Experience
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in warehouse and logistics roles, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Hands-on experience managing large-scale inventory and raw material flow.
- Strong familiarity with warehouse safety, hygiene protocols, and team supervision.
3. Technical Skills
- Proficiency in ERP software, especially SAP (WM, MM modules).
- MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills for reporting and data analysis.
- Understanding of VTAT, FEFO, FIFO, and loss control techniques.
4. Leadership & Management
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams across multiple shifts.
- Effective in manpower planning, team motivation, and performance evaluation.
- Skilled in conflict resolution and workforce discipline enforcement.
