PEL Is Hiring: Design Engineer (Electrical – Switchgear)
Pak Elektron Limited (PEL), a recognized name in the manufacturing of electrical and power equipment, is looking to hire a Design Engineer (Electrical) with a specialization in Switchgear. This role is based in Lahore and offers a chance to work on high-voltage substation projects that power the country.
Job Description
The selected candidate will be involved in the design and development of control and protection panels for 132kV, 220kV, and 500kV substations, with a specific focus on switchgear systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Design electrical systems for control and protection panels used in high-voltage substations

Prepare detailed secondary engineering drawings for substations/grid stations

Work with numerical relay software, protection and metering SLDs, and relay settings

Collaborate with teams across departments to meet project goals

Support product testing and troubleshooting

Contribute to ongoing quality and performance improvement efforts
Eligibility Criteria
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

Experience: 2–5 years, preferably in the power or electrical manufacturing industry
Skills Required:
-
Strong background in protection and control systems

Experience with schematic drawing preparation and relay settings
-
Familiarity with design and simulation tools
-
Proficiency in AutoCAD and related software

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
