Job Description
The Dy. Chief Engineer / Chief Engineer (Electronics) will play a key leadership role in overseeing the electronic systems and instrumentation within the sugar mill. This position involves managing a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the smooth functioning of all electrical and electronic equipment, automation systems, and control instruments.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all plant electronics, including PLCs, sensors, control panels, motor control centers, and process automation devices. The role also requires implementing preventive maintenance programs to avoid unexpected breakdowns and ensure continuous production throughout the crushing season.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising the installation, calibration, and repair of electronic instruments and control devices used in various stages of sugar manufacturing.
- Ensuring timely maintenance of all control and automation systems, including temperature, pressure, and flow monitoring instruments.
- Coordinating with electrical, mechanical, and production departments to ensure integrated operations and minimize downtime.
- Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Leading technical audits and preparing detailed maintenance reports for management.
- Evaluating system performance and recommending upgrades or process improvements.
