Job Description
The Electrical/Electronics MTO role at Utopia Industries is designed for young engineers who want to develop their expertise in industrial electrical and instrumentation systems. This is a hands-on position where the selected candidate will work directly on production machinery and automation systems in the PSF Plant.
One of the core responsibilities is to assist in the maintenance of PSF production machinery, focusing on electrical and instrumentation components. This includes working on control panels, drives, PLC systems, and other electrical control devices. The MTO will participate in both preventive maintenance, which aims to prevent equipment failure, and predictive maintenance, which uses data and analysis to anticipate problems before they occur.
Troubleshooting is another critical part of the role. The MTO will be involved in diagnosing faults in electrical circuits, sensors, and automation systems. This requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, control logic, and instrumentation behavior. The ability to quickly identify and resolve issues is essential to minimize downtime and maintain smooth production.
The position also involves working with PLC programming and SCADA monitoring. The MTO will assist senior engineers in writing, modifying, and testing PLC programs, as well as monitoring process parameters through SCADA systems. This hands-on experience will provide valuable insights into how automation controls industrial processes.
Another important duty is maintaining detailed maintenance records, service reports, and calibration logs. Accurate documentation is essential for tracking equipment performance, planning future maintenance, and meeting compliance requirements. The MTO will ensure that all maintenance activities are recorded properly and that reports are available for audits or technical reviews.
In addition, the MTO will assist in monitoring power distribution across the plant. This includes checking load distribution, voltage levels, and system performance to ensure the plant operates within safe and efficient limits.
Inventory management is also part of the role. The MTO will coordinate with the store to manage electrical spare parts, verify the quality of incoming materials, and ensure that necessary components are available when needed.
The MTO will participate in daily technical meetings where plant performance, maintenance activities, and improvement initiatives are discussed. This provides an opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and contribute ideas for enhancing system reliability.
Overall, the Electrical/Electronics MTO position at Utopia Industries offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in plant electrical systems, automation, and process control. It is a role that combines technical skill development with real-world problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
