We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our utilities and maintenance team. This is a full-time role based at our Karachi facility, offering the opportunity to work on critical plant operations and energy systems, including solar power projects. 2. Job Description
We are hiring an Electrical Engineer to join our factory operations at Karachi EPZ. This position is focused on utility systems, electrical maintenance, and project execution, including solar energy systems and plant expansions. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical knowledge, practical field experience, and a structured approach to maintenance and energy management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain data reports related to electrical systems and utility equipment.
- Execute electrical maintenance tasks for plant utility systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Support the Head of Department in all expansion-related works, electrical planning, and operational improvements.
- Take ownership of electrical projects, ensuring proper execution, resource planning, and timely follow-up.
- Participate in solar energy initiatives, including the planning, design, and installation of solar equipment.
- Ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of all electrical installations within the plant.
- Coordinate with internal departments and contractors for utilities-based projects.
- Comply with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols and support their implementation across all assigned areas.
This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a practical understanding of plant-level utilities. Engineers will work closely with both the maintenance and production teams to ensure continuous availability of essential services like power, compressed air, and water systems.
3. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree (BE) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in utility systems, maintenance, or electrical projects in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Technical Requirements:
- Solid understanding of electrical distribution systems and utility operations.
- Experience in managing or supporting industrial maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of power factor management, load balancing, and energy efficiency practices.
- Familiarity with solar power systems, including installation and monitoring.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in using maintenance and project tracking tools/software.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance in an industrial plant.
- Understanding of HSE standards and their application in electrical operations.
- Capability to troubleshoot utility systems and coordinate with suppliers or vendors.
- Practical knowledge of local electrical safety codes and regulations.
Soft Skills:
- Strong reporting and communication skills for data tracking and departmental updates.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
