Job Description
NOA Group of Companies is currently hiring for two critical technical positions — Electrical Generator Technicians (Field) and Heavy Equipment Mechanics — for projects within the Oil & Gas industry in Kuwait. Both positions demand hands-on experience, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform under demanding operational conditions.
The Electrical Generator Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of a range of diesel-powered generator units, ensuring a reliable and efficient power supply for project operations. This includes working with well-known generator brands such as Volvo Penta, CAT, Perkins, and Cummins. The technician will work primarily in the field, handling installations, conducting load testing, diagnosing faults, and ensuring preventive maintenance in compliance with manufacturer specifications.
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will focus on inspecting, repairing, and maintaining heavy machinery used in construction and Oil & Gas operations. This includes engines, hydraulic systems, drive trains, and electrical components of heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment. The mechanic will be expected to work independently or as part of a maintenance team to ensure equipment uptime, performance, and safety.
Both positions play a vital role in the smooth functioning of field operations, where timely maintenance and skilled troubleshooting can prevent costly downtime. Professionals in these roles will collaborate closely with site engineers, maintenance supervisors, and project managers to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities for Electrical Generator Technicians
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of diesel generators, including Volvo Penta, CAT, Perkins, and Cummins models.
- Inspect, test, and service generator control systems, alternators, and wiring assemblies.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using testing equipment and specialized tools.
- Conduct load testing and verify generator performance under different operational conditions.
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records for all assigned equipment.

- Identify and repair faults in engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and braking mechanisms.
- Disassemble and reassemble components to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Conduct regular inspections to detect potential mechanical issues before failure.
- Replace worn-out parts, lubricate machinery, and maintain service logs.
- Coordinate with engineers and supervisors to prioritize maintenance tasks and reduce downtime.
- Ensure all repair and maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and equipment diagrams.
- Assist in the commissioning and testing of heavy machinery after repair or modification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies.
Workplace Environment
These roles involve field-based work in active Oil & Gas sites, where safety, discipline, and teamwork are paramount. The technicians and mechanics will operate in coordination with multiple departments, including electrical, mechanical, and logistics teams, to ensure seamless maintenance operations.
