Job Description

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer at Bin Rasheed Group of Companies will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of all electrical and automation systems within the plant. The role requires hands-on technical expertise and a proactive approach to ensure smooth production with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical control systems, including PLCs, drives, control panels, and field instrumentation.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and testing to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults to prevent unplanned breakdowns and production delays.
  • Collaborate with the mechanical and production departments to address cross-functional maintenance issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, energy management protocols, and maintenance standards.
  • Support in the installation, commissioning, and calibration of new electrical and automation systems.
  • Monitor energy usage and recommend improvements for better efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, breakdown reports, and corrective actions.
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance operations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing and technical support.
  • Provide technical training to junior maintenance staff and electricians.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the role of Electrical Maintenance Engineer, candidates should meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification:

  • B.E. / BSc in Electrical Engineering from an HEC-recognized institution; or
  • DAE in Electrical Technology with substantial hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.

Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or process industry, ideally involving electrical maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, and automation systems.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, drives, and control circuits.
  • Experience with PLC systems (such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Delta).
  • Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, P&IDs, and control schematics.
  • Knowledge of safety systems, energy management, and preventive maintenance.
  • Familiarity with VFDs, instrumentation, sensors, and control panels.
  • Competence in troubleshooting industrial automation faults.
  • Understanding of power distribution systems and load management.
