2. Job Description
The Electrification Service Trainee Program at ABB Egypt is designed to provide fresh graduates with the opportunity to explore their potential while gaining practical experience in the field of electrification. This immersive training program helps build technical knowledge, soft skills, and leadership qualities through a structured learning path and close mentorship.
As a trainee, you’ll be placed within ABB’s Electrification Services division, where you’ll support customer projects, learn about service operations, and contribute to the performance and reliability of energy systems. The program emphasizes learning-by-doing, with a mix of classroom sessions, field visits, and hands-on support in real-time customer projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior engineers in conducting site inspections, maintenance planning, and testing of electrification equipment.
- Participate in the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of ABB systems including switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and control devices.
- Collaborate with technical teams to prepare service documentation, reports, and customer presentations.
- Learn about ABB tools and software used for diagnostics, monitoring, and system upgrades.
- Gain understanding of global electrification trends, safety standards, and ABB’s approach to sustainability and energy efficiency.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals, cost estimations, and service solutions for clients.
- Support the service team in delivering high-quality customer experience and maintaining ABB’s reputation in the market.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, performance reviews, and feedback meetings during the training cycle.
The program is designed to rotate trainees through different aspects of the electrification business, offering a 360-degree view of the services lifecycle. Each trainee will be assigned a mentor to guide their development, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
By the end of the program, successful trainees will have the opportunity to transition into a permanent position within ABB’s Electrification Services team, depending on performance and business needs.
3. Eligibility Criteria
The ABB Electrification Service Trainee Program is a competitive and rewarding opportunity. To ensure the right fit, the company has defined the following eligibility criteria:
Educational Background:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline (Electronics, Power Engineering, Energy Systems).
- Recent graduates (Class of 2023 or 2024) are eligible to apply.
Experience:
- No prior work experience is required.
- Internship or project experience in the power sector or industrial services will be considered a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
