Job Offering Company Introduction

SystemSpace is a Pakistan-based embedded systems development company specializing in complete, end-to-end product development. Operating from Rawalpindi and Islamabad, SystemSpace works with businesses worldwide to transform ideas into reliable, commercial-grade electronic products that are ready for global markets.
From initial concept and prototyping to certified production, SystemSpace designs custom hardware, develops robust firmware, and delivers IoT and embedded solutions that meet international standards. The company’s portfolio includes FCC and CE-certified products deployed globally, covering applications such as railway safety systems, medical devices, industrial automation, energy solutions, and consumer electronics.
SystemSpace is particularly recognized for its expertise in designing ultra-low-power devices. Some of its products achieve a battery life of up to 10 years, making them suitable for long-term field deployment without frequent maintenance. This level of efficiency is achieved through careful hardware selection, optimized PCB design, and highly efficient firmware development.
The company offers services across multiple technical domains, including hardware design using STM32, ESP32, and nRF platforms, bare-metal and RTOS-based firmware development, IoT connectivity solutions such as LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, BLE, and WiFi, as well as AI on edge implementations on microcontrollers.
With over 50 successfully delivered products and a strong focus on quality, certification, and lifecycle support, SystemSpace provides engineers with exposure to real-world, production-ready systems rather than experimental or academic projects. To support its growing project pipeline, SystemSpace is currently hiring an Embedded Systems Engineer for its Rawalpindi/Islamabad operations.

Job Description

The Embedded Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying embedded hardware and firmware for commercial products. This role involves working on complete product lifecycles, from early prototypes to certified production-ready systems.
The engineer will design custom printed circuit boards, starting from schematic capture through layout optimization. Attention to signal integrity, power efficiency, component selection, and manufacturability will be a key part of the role.
On the software side, the Embedded Systems Engineer will write efficient embedded C firmware for both bare-metal systems and FreeRTOS-based applications. The role requires hands-on experience with real-time constraints, peripheral interfacing, and low-power optimization techniques.
The position includes working with STM32 and nRF52 microcontroller platforms, integrating sensors, communication modules, and power management systems into functional products. Engineers will collaborate with team members across hardware, firmware, and system integration stages.
Debugging and testing are core responsibilities of this role. The engineer will identify and resolve hardware and firmware issues using standard debugging tools and testing methodologies, iterating designs to improve stability, efficiency, and performance.
As part of a fast-paced startup environment, the Embedded Systems Engineer will take ownership of assigned projects. This includes managing technical decisions, meeting project timelines, and ensuring deliverables meet quality and performance requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for this role.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
Applicants should have 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems development, covering both hardware and firmware domains.
A strong foundation in electrical and electronics engineering is required, including knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
Candidates must be proficient in schematic design and PCB layout, with practical experience in developing custom boards.
Applicants should have solid embedded C programming skills, with experience in bare-metal and FreeRTOS-based development.
A working knowledge of the STM32 and nRF52 microcontroller platforms is mandatory for this position.
Candidates must be self-motivated and capable of working independently while collaborating within a technical team.
Applicants should be comfortable working in a startup environment where priorities may evolve based on project requirements.

Nice to Have

The following skills are not mandatory, but will be considered a strong advantage.
Experience with LoRaWAN protocol and network development.
Exposure to Ultra-Wideband (UWB) implementation.
Hands-on experience in ultra-low power device development and optimization.
Previous work on battery-operated IoT or wearable products.
