Job Description

SNGPL has launched a comprehensive recruitment drive to hire qualified individuals across multiple departments. The available positions include roles in engineering, business development, human resources, law, accounts, information technology, compliance, and procurement.

Engineer (Grade II & III)

Engineers will be responsible for ensuring smooth technical operations related to gas transmission, distribution, project execution, pipeline maintenance, and system safety. Selected candidates will be involved in designing and reviewing engineering plans, conducting on-site inspections, preparing technical reports, and coordinating with contractors and internal departments.

The engineering roles are available for candidates with degrees in:

  • Chemical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Telecom/Communication Engineering
  • Petroleum & Gas Engineering
  • Metallurgy & Materials Engineering
  • Mechatronics Engineering

These engineers may also be involved in planning the expansion of the gas infrastructure, implementation of energy-efficient technologies, and enhancing the safety protocols in line with international best practices.

Officer (Administration, Retail Sales, Corporate Sales, Procurement, Stores)

These roles are aimed at managing the company’s internal and external operations including supply chain, procurement of materials, contract handling, sales strategies, customer relations, and administrative policies. Officers will be required to:

  • Handle inventory and procurement systems

Executive Accountant / Officer (Audit, Compliance, Billing, Treasury, Finance)

Accountants and finance officers will manage budgeting, financial reporting, tax matters, billing cycles, treasury functions, and audits. Candidates must be familiar with IFRS, ERP systems, financial analysis, and cost control methods.

These roles require strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex financial data. Preference will be given to CA or CMA qualified applicants.

Information Security Officer

This role will ensure the digital safety and cybersecurity of the company’s IT systems. The officer will be expected to conduct vulnerability assessments, monitor system security, develop security protocols, and implement protection measures to prevent cyber-attacks.

Familiarity with network security tools, firewalls, data encryption, and compliance with data privacy laws is essential.

System Administrator (AIX/Linux)

System administrators will manage company-wide servers, maintain the operating systems, troubleshoot software issues, and support end-users across departments. They will ensure network reliability and backup systems to minimize downtime.

Strong command of Linux, UNIX, AIX platforms, and hands-on system configuration is necessary.

Applications / Database Administrator

This position involves managing software applications, database systems, data storage, and access protocols. The administrator will support business units by ensuring smooth functioning of ERP modules, developing new database solutions, and supporting data migration processes.

The role is crucial for the digital transformation and system integration efforts of SNGPL.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria vary depending on the nature of the position. However, general guidelines are as follows:

For Engineering Positions

  • A BSc or MSc degree in Engineering from a PEC-recognized institution.
  • Degrees accepted include Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Electronics, Petroleum & Gas, Mechatronics, Telecom, Metallurgy & Materials Engineering.
  • PEC registration is mandatory.
  • Post-degree experience ranging from fresh to 1 year is acceptable.
  • Candidates must have completed their degree (no result-waiting candidates).
  • Maximum age: 32 years.

For HR Officers

  • Minimum qualification: MBA/MS/MPhil in HRM from a recognized university.
  • Experience: 0–2 years for 18-year qualification, and 1–3 years for 16-year qualification holders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HRMS software and recruitment systems is preferred.

For Law Officers

  • Law degree (LLB or LLM) from a recognized university.
  • 0–3 years of experience in the legal field.
  • Sound understanding of legal drafting, corporate law, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent writing and argumentation skills.

For Executive Accountant / Officer

  • CA or CMA (Intermediate or Final) membership required.
  • Degrees in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce will be considered.
  • 1–3 years post-qualification experience preferred.
  • Experience in financial planning, audit management, or compliance.
  • Membership of ICAP/ICMA is mandatory.

For Information Technology Roles

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in systems administration, database management, or cybersecurity.
  • Skills in AIX/Linux platforms, firewall systems, SCADA/ERP systems.
  • HEC verification required for degrees.

General Guidelines

  • All degrees must be HEC recognized.
  • Equivalence certificates are mandatory for foreign qualifications.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years old at the time of application.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for test or interview.
