2. Job Description

We are inviting applications for the following engineering roles at Toyota Pakistan – Indus Motor Company:

Open Positions:

  1. Assistant Manager – Production Control & Logistics
  2. Assistant Manager – Civil Engineer
  3. Assistant Manager – Assembly & Press
  4. Assistant Manager – Maintenance
  5. Assistant Manager – Production Planning

These roles are designed for professionals with a strong technical background and a passion for improving plant operations, logistics workflows, and production systems. Each department plays a vital role in ensuring timely and efficient vehicle production aligned with Toyota’s global quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities by Role:

  • Production Control & Logistics:
    Manage materials flow, optimize inbound/outbound logistics, coordinate with suppliers, and maintain lean inventory processes.
  • Civil Engineer:
    Oversee facility maintenance, civil infrastructure projects, and expansion plans, ensuring safety and compliance with industrial construction codes.
  • Assembly & Press:
    Supervise vehicle assembly and press line activities, ensuring process quality, equipment reliability, and team efficiency.
  • Maintenance:
    Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance of machinery, handle troubleshooting, and support production continuity through equipment reliability programs.
  • Production Planning:
    Develop and monitor production schedules, optimize line capacity, and coordinate with departments for seamless workflow and delivery planning.

These roles involve close interaction with cross-functional teams, data analysis for process optimization, and participation in Kaizen and TPS-based improvement initiatives.


3. Eligibility Criteria

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university

Experience:

  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, production systems, or plant engineering
  • Prior experience in the automotive or industrial manufacturing sector will be a strong advantage

Technical & Professional Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and process optimization skills
  • Proficiency in production software and Microsoft Office tools
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and safety regulations
  • Good communication skills and the ability to lead and collaborate with technical teams
  • Familiarity with the Toyota Production System or similar frameworks is preferred
