Job Description

The Financial Analyst Senior – Consulting role at Finsys Consulting is a full-time, on-site position based in Luxembourg. This position involves financial planning, reporting, analysis, and procurement oversight for leading European financial institutions. The role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution to ensure compliance, cost efficiency, and optimal decision-making across financial and procurement operations.

The Financial Analyst Senior will collaborate with the client’s Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams to manage budgets, optimize procurement cycles, and drive financial performance. This position demands high-level analytical skills, strong communication, and the ability to operate in fast-paced, complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement cycles, including sourcing, contracting, and vendor performance monitoring.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and adherence to service-level agreements.
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support decision-making.
  • Analyze historical and current financial data, perform variance and pipeline analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Design and monitor KPIs to track financial and operational performance.
  • Conduct reviews of procurement and financial performance and deliver insights to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, audit standards, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to optimize workflows, implement automation, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Utilize RPA, AI tools (Power Automate, Copilot), and analytics platforms (Excel, Power BI, VBA, SQL) for reporting and automation.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or professional certifications (CFA, CPA) are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years in financial audit, procurement, or vendor management.
  • Prior experience with Big 4 consulting firms preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale budgets (millions) in complex organizational settings.
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, reporting, and procurement operations.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI; knowledge of VBA, Macros, SQL is advantageous.
  • Experience in financial consulting or similar environments.
  • Proficiency in RPA, workflow automation, and AI tools is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client and internal collaboration.
