Job Description
The Floor In-Charge (Male) will play a key supervisory role within the Production and Operations Department. Reporting directly to the Production Director, the selected candidate will oversee all activities on the production floor, ensuring that mechanical processes run efficiently and that all production targets are achieved without compromising on quality or safety.
The position demands hands-on management of production operations, workforce supervision, and coordination with multiple departments to maintain workflow consistency. The Floor In-Charge will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting all mechanical production activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and Coordination: Develop daily production plans and schedules to ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Production Oversight: Supervise ongoing mechanical production processes, ensuring they align with established SOPs and meet company standards.
- Workflow Monitoring: Identify bottlenecks in production and implement corrective measures to maintain a smooth flow of operations.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections of raw materials upon receipt to ensure compliance with required specifications and company standards.
- Employee Training: Conduct on-the-job training for operators and technicians on mechanical procedures, equipment handling, and safety measures.
- Performance Management: Supervise, guide, and evaluate the performance of factory staff, QC inspectors, Line Incharges, and machine operators.
- Maintenance Coordination: Report all mechanical breakdowns and coordinate with the maintenance team for immediate troubleshooting and repairs.
- Data Management: Record and maintain production logs, downtime reports, and manpower utilization data through the ERP (SAP B1) system.
- Housekeeping and 5S: Ensure that cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols are maintained across the production area.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to the management team.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and productivity enhancement.
This role requires a leader who is detail-oriented, methodical, and proactive. The Floor In-Charge will work closely with production operators and quality control personnel to achieve manufacturing goals while minimizing rejection, rework, and downtime.

Eligibility Criteria

- Education: DAE Mechanical or B.Tech Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.

- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities. The candidate should be capable of handling workforce management and resolving shop floor challenges effectively.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze production data, identify deviations, and suggest process improvements.
- Safety Awareness: Understanding of industrial safety measures and capability to enforce compliance among workers.
