Job Description
The Shift Officer / Production Officer role is designed to train and develop young chemical engineers into future leaders in pharmaceutical production and operations. This position involves working directly on the manufacturing floor, supervising production activities, ensuring process efficiency, and maintaining strict adherence to quality and safety standards.
As part of the production department, the selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing chemical process operations, coordinating with technicians and supervisors, and ensuring that every batch is produced according to defined procedures and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Production Supervision: Monitor all ongoing chemical production activities during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GMP regulations.
- Process Management: Maintain optimal production parameters such as temperature, pressure, and mixing rates to achieve consistent product quality.
- Shift Operations: Coordinate manpower allocation, schedule tasks, and ensure smooth handovers between shifts to maintain continuous operations.
- Documentation: Record daily production data, batch reports, and logbooks accurately for quality assurance and traceability.
- Material Handling: Ensure correct raw materials are issued, measured, and processed according to the production plan.
