Job Description
EHM IT Services is currently seeking fresh graduates in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering for entry-level positions at their Faisalabad office. These positions are focused on providing technical estimation services, cost documentation, and quantity takeoffs for international and local engineering projects. The work is primarily office-based and highly technical, offering a fantastic opportunity to gain foundational skills that are critical across the engineering industry.
New hires will work under the supervision of senior estimation engineers to understand project scopes, review architectural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings, and extract required quantities for pricing. They will be responsible for compiling technical documentation, analyzing design specifications, and preparing project reports in Excel and MS Word. Over time, candidates will learn how to interpret blueprints, construction plans, technical specifications, and standards that govern engineering estimation.
A large portion of the day will be spent working on MS Excel, AutoCAD, and other estimation-related software. This includes preparing BOQs (Bill of Quantities), setting up cost templates, reviewing item specifications, and sometimes even performing material takeoffs. Candidates will also contribute to bid documentation, subcontractor comparisons, and occasionally assist in communication with clients (under supervision).
For civil engineering graduates, typical responsibilities will include reviewing drawings for foundations, structures, slabs, and architectural elements. You’ll calculate areas, volumes, lengths, and identify items needed for pricing—such as concrete, rebar, tiles, doors, windows, and finishes.
Electrical engineers will focus on reviewing lighting layouts, power distribution, cable tray systems, panel schedules, and other MEP elements to prepare precise load schedules and quantity estimations.
Mechanical engineers will assist with estimating HVAC ductwork, piping systems, plumbing components, mechanical equipment, and technical layouts related to ventilation and heating systems.
Beyond technical tasks, candidates will also learn the fundamentals of project planning and documentation. Over time, as you demonstrate proficiency, you may be entrusted with small projects of your own or directly interact with international clients for clarifications.
