In order to strengthen its Projects Team, BYD Pakistan Mega Motor Co. is currently hiring for three important roles at the Gharo Plant: Instrumentation & Control Engineer, HSE Supervisor, and Paramedic Officer. These roles are essential during plant setup and operational phases, ensuring system reliability, safety compliance, and workforce health readiness.

Job Description

Mega Motor Private Limited is seeking qualified and experienced professionals to join its Projects Team at the Gharo Plant. The available positions include Instrumentation & Control Engineer, HSE Supervisor, and Paramedic Officer.

Instrumentation & Control Engineer

The Instrumentation & Control Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial instrumentation and control systems. This includes PLC systems, HMI interfaces, SCADA platforms, and plant automation networks.

Industrial automation in manufacturing environments relies on precise signal measurement and control logic. Control loops regulate process variables such as temperature, pressure, flow, and speed. A simplified representation of a control relationship may be expressed as:

In automation, this reflects how system output responds proportionally to input signals, which is fundamental to PLC-based process control.

The engineer will ensure calibration and functional reliability of field instruments. This includes sensors, transmitters, actuators, control valves, and panel instruments. Calibration activities must follow industry standards to maintain measurement accuracy.

The role involves troubleshooting automation systems and ensuring production line controls function efficiently. The engineer will maintain and update technical documentation such as P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring drawings, and system configuration records.

Coordination with maintenance and production teams is essential to ensure smooth plant operations. The I&C Engineer must respond quickly to control system faults and support commissioning during initial plant setup stages.

HSE Supervisor

The HSE Supervisor will oversee the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental policies. The role requires conducting risk assessments, performing safety audits, and ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.

Industrial plant setup involves multiple contractors, equipment installations, electrical works, and heavy machinery operations. The HSE Supervisor must identify hazards, evaluate risk levels, and implement preventive measures.

Responsibilities include leading incident investigations, conducting toolbox talks, and ensuring that all workers use appropriate PPE. Emergency response planning and coordination form a significant part of this role.

The HSE Supervisor will maintain safety documentation, inspection logs, and compliance records. Regular monitoring of site conditions ensures adherence to company and regulatory standards.

Paramedic Officer

The Paramedic Officer will provide immediate medical support at the plant site. During plant setup and construction phases, medical readiness is critical to address injuries or emergencies.

The officer will respond to workplace incidents, provide first aid, coordinate ambulance services, and manage referrals to hospitals when required. Maintaining medical records and ensuring first aid room readiness are key duties.

The Paramedic Officer will monitor contractor workforce health compliance and assist the HSE team during emergency drills and safety inspections. Industrial health monitoring plays a significant role in preventing workplace accidents.

Eligibility Criteria

Instrumentation & Control Engineer

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Applicants should have 5 to 8 years of experience in industrial automation and manufacturing environments. Practical experience with PLC programming, HMI configuration, and SCADA operations is required.

Strong knowledge of field instrumentation, calibration techniques, control loops, and system troubleshooting is essential. The candidate must be capable of interpreting P&IDs and loop diagrams accurately.

HSE Supervisor

Candidates must possess a DAE in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a relevant technical discipline.

A minimum of 5 to 7 years of HSE experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial projects is required.

Applicants must demonstrate strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations, risk assessment techniques, and emergency response protocols.

Experience in conducting safety training, audits, and compliance monitoring is mandatory.

Paramedic Officer

Applicants must hold a DAE or Diploma in Paramedical Sciences or an Emergency Medical Technician certification from a recognized institute.

Valid First Aid and Basic Life Support certifications are required.

Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial or construction environments. Experience in large-scale plant setup projects will be preferred.

Strong emergency response capability and medical documentation skills are necessary.
