Job Description

The Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) and Diploma Trainee Engineer (DTE) roles at iTech Robotics & Automation Pvt. Ltd. offer exciting entry-level opportunities for fresh engineering graduates and diploma holders eager to build careers in the dynamic field of robotics and industrial automation.

These positions are designed to give trainees hands-on exposure to industrial systems, robotic integration, mechanical assemblies, electrical controls, and software programming. The trainees will be part of an energetic and highly skilled technical team working on real-time automation projects across multiple sectors.

Under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers, trainees will assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of robotic and automation systems. The objective of this program is to transform academically trained engineers into confident professionals capable of handling complex engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of robotic systems, including mechanical structures, electrical wiring, and software integration.
  • Participate in machine installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities at client sites.
  • Support the assembly and calibration of robotic components, sensors, and control systems.
  • Learn and implement PLC programming, HMI design, and motion control applications.
  • Work closely with senior engineers to ensure that all projects meet quality, performance, and safety standards.
  • Participate in product testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of robotic systems.
  • Gain practical knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, servo drives, and automation circuits.
  • Support documentation and reporting related to testing, calibration, and commissioning.
  • Learn about industrial networking protocols, such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and Profinet, to ensure proper communication between devices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and innovation activities within the organization.

This role will expose candidates to various areas of automation, including mechanical design, electrical engineering, programming, control systems, and robotics simulation. The company provides structured mentoring to help trainees progress into independent roles such as Project Engineer, Automation Specialist, or Maintenance Engineer after successful completion of the training phase.

The Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) position is open to candidates with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. or B.Tech.) degree in a relevant discipline, while the Diploma Trainee Engineer (DTE) position is open to candidates with a Diploma in Engineering.

Trainees will also undergo in-house workshops and hands-on training at the company’s technical facility, where they will learn real-world automation and control techniques. This exposure ensures that trainees understand how automation integrates with manufacturing processes, helping them develop valuable skills for long-term industrial careers.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed a B.E. / B.Tech. or Diploma in one of the following engineering disciplines:

  1. Mechatronics
  2. Robotics & Automation
  3. Mechanical Engineering
  4. Electrical Engineering
  5. Electronics & Telecommunication (E&TC)

Pass-out Batch: 2024 or 2025

Experience:
Fresh graduates and diploma holders are encouraged to apply. Candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience will also be considered.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of basic engineering principles in mechanical, electrical, or automation domains.
  • Eagerness to learn and explore modern industrial technologies such as robotics, PLCs, and control systems.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to think logically and systematically.
  • Team-oriented attitude with effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory work, internships, or industrial projects (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Willingness to work in a plant-based or workshop environment, often involving practical field exposure.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or any programming language will be advantageous.
