Job Description
The Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) position at Sayantrik Engineers is an entry-level but high-impact role that places you at the heart of real-world engineering projects. It is a structured program designed for diploma holders who have also completed their B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering, providing them with the tools and experience needed to grow into project engineers, site managers, or technical specialists.
From day one, GETs are introduced to the practical side of plant engineering. The program is built around the principle of learning by doing—which means you won’t be stuck behind a desk. Instead, you’ll be part of a dynamic team working on live client projects across various industries. These may include infrastructure development, machinery installation, equipment testing, structural fabrication, or power distribution networks.
Your role will begin with an orientation and training phase, where you will understand the company’s standard operating procedures, safety protocols, design tools, documentation workflows, and quality control systems. During this phase, you will be introduced to engineering software relevant to your discipline (AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SolidWorks, or Revit) and learn how project planning, scheduling, and execution are managed.
Once the onboarding is complete, you will be assigned to one or more ongoing projects. As a Mechanical GET, you may be tasked with preparing technical drawings, supervising fabrication work, performing material take-offs, or supporting equipment commissioning. If you’re a Civil GET, you’ll be involved in site layout planning, reinforcement detailing, bar bending schedules, and civil inspection reports. Electrical GETs will get hands-on with cable routing, panel testing, lighting systems, earthing plans, and field inspections of control circuits.
A core aspect of the role is site mobility. While your base location will be Hyderabad, you should be prepared to travel to different project locations when needed. This is essential to understand the nuances of execution, troubleshoot on-site challenges, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Site visits also help develop leadership skills, discipline, and time-bound problem-solving abilities.
Documentation and reporting are important parts of the job. You’ll be expected to maintain daily logs, prepare quality inspection sheets, and coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal departments to keep project activities aligned. You will be trained to follow ISO, BIS, and other applicable industry standards during documentation and reporting.
Throughout your training period, you will be assigned a senior engineer mentor, who will guide your technical development and evaluate your progress. Weekly reviews and periodic assessments will help track your learning curve and identify areas of improvement.
Apart from technical training, Sayantrik Engineers also focuses on developing your soft skills. You will attend sessions on business communication, teamwork, safety culture, time management, and customer orientation. The GET program is not time-bound in the traditional sense. While some candidates transition into full-time roles within 6–9 months, others may take up to a year. The idea is to prepare you thoroughly, not rush you through. Once the training period is complete and you demonstrate competency, you will be offered a full-time position aligned with your specialization and performance.

Eligibility Criteria

Academic Requirements:
- Diploma + B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering

- Technical coursework in design, manufacturing, construction methods, or power systems is preferred
While no professional experience is mandatory, any internship, academic project, or final year thesis that demonstrates your understanding of practical engineering concepts will strengthen your application.
