We are currently hiring for the role of Home Sampling Officer, a full-time position that involves traveling within the city to collect patient samples from residences.
2. Job Description
The position of Home Sampling Officer is central to Excel Labs’ home care services. As a frontline healthcare provider, you will be responsible for visiting patients at their homes, collecting blood and other diagnostic samples, and ensuring these are delivered safely and promptly to our laboratory.
This role requires not only technical skills but also a patient-friendly approach. You will often be interacting with individuals who are elderly, unwell, or anxious. Your ability to communicate clearly, demonstrate professionalism, and ensure hygiene and safety protocols are followed will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sample Collection:
Perform phlebotomy procedures including venipuncture and fingerstick sampling. Collect blood and other test samples from patients as per prescribed instructions. - Home Visits:
Travel to patients’ homes within Rawalpindi based on a daily schedule. Ensure timely arrival and efficient service. - Patient Interaction:
Communicate clearly with patients and their families regarding procedures, collection times, and necessary precautions. - Sample Handling:
Properly label, seal, and transport samples to ensure integrity. Maintain temperature-sensitive samples as required. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of visits, sample details, and patient interactions. Submit daily logs to the office. - Compliance:
Follow standard protocols and hygiene practices strictly. Use gloves, disinfectants, and personal protective equipment (PPE) as per health regulations. - Coordination:
Work closely with the Excel Labs dispatch and lab teams. Stay updated on daily route plans and collection assignments. - Professionalism:
Represent Excel Labs with a courteous and caring attitude. Respect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
This is a field-based, full-time role requiring a 9-hour working day. Applicants should be comfortable traveling locally, managing schedules independently, and handling technical medical equipment. Prior experience with home sampling is preferred but not mandatory if the candidate has strong phlebotomy skills and the right attitude.
3. Eligibility Criteria
We are looking for committed individuals who meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- Minimum FA / FSc or equivalent from a recognized board
- Certification in phlebotomy, medical lab technology, or a related healthcare field will be considered an advantage
Experience:
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in sample collection or phlebotomy
- Experience in home sampling or working in a diagnostic lab is highly preferred
- Freshers with training and strong interpersonal skills may also apply
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques, especially venipuncture
- Ability to handle medical tools, sample kits, and cold chain equipment
- Good communication skills in Urdu; basic English understanding is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Ability to navigate city areas and follow route schedules

Candidates with prior field experience, a driving license, or their own transport will be given preference. However, transport support can be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Type: Field-based, Full-Time
Shift Duration: 9 hours per day
