Job Description

The Industrial Engineering Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring industrial engineering systems to enhance productivity and operational efficiency within the garment manufacturing unit. The role involves conducting work studies, time studies, and method studies to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.

A primary responsibility of the IE Manager is setting and maintaining Standard Minute Values (SMV) for garment production processes, ensuring line balancing, and implementing capacity planning strategies. By analyzing production data and monitoring workflow efficiency, the IE Manager will identify bottlenecks, propose solutions, and work collaboratively with production, quality, and planning teams to implement process improvements.

The role requires leading and training industrial engineering officers and staff, ensuring that engineering principles are effectively applied across all operations. The manager will provide technical guidance on manpower utilization, machine deployment, and material handling to ensure optimal productivity while minimizing waste.

Additionally, the IE Manager will focus on integrating productivity tools and best practices into day-to-day operations. They will monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), track workflow efficiency, and recommend actionable improvements to align production goals with business objectives. Communication and coordination with cross-functional teams, including quality, production, and planning departments, is crucial to ensure smooth operations and timely project completion.
