2. Job Description

We are currently hiring for the position of Instrument Engineer at our facility in Karachi. This full-time role is focused on the design, development, and maintenance of instrumentation systems across the plant. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial instrumentation and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop instrumentation systems for process control and monitoring
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to evaluate system performance and ensure compliance with technical standards
  • Develop and implement calibration procedures for sensors, transmitters, and control devices
  • Troubleshoot faults and conduct repairs on a wide range of instrumentation equipment
  • Ensure accurate readings and proper operation of field devices
  • Maintain documentation related to instrument diagrams, control loops, and calibration records
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and automation teams to support integrated system performance
  • Ensure all systems adhere to safety, reliability, and operational efficiency standards

The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional engineering team. Your work will support smooth plant operations and help maintain the integrity of critical control systems.


3. Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering from a recognized university

Experience:

  • Proven experience (minimum 2–3 years preferred) in an industrial setting working with instrumentation systems
  • Hands-on experience with calibration, troubleshooting, and system design is highly desirable

Technical Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of control systems, instrumentation hardware, and signal processing
  • Familiarity with industrial sensors, transducers, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, instrument loop diagrams, and P&IDs
  • Knowledge of international instrumentation standards and safety protocols

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in dynamic environments
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Willingness to take initiative and drive improvements in system performance

Candidates with relevant certifications in automation, process control, or instrumentation calibration will be given preference. The position is well-suited for individuals who are technically sound, reliable, and committed to continuous learning.

City: Karachi, Pakistan
Workplace Type: On-site (factory-based position)
The role requires physical presence at our Karachi facility and may involve occasional travel to project sites or vendors.
