Job Description

The Maintenance Technician / Field Service Engineer role at AVA Energy is designed for professionals with hands-on experience in mechanical systems, specifically cryogenic rotating machinery. The selected candidates will be part of a global team responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhauls of multi-stage compressors (2/4/6 stage) and cryogenic pumps.

Key responsibilities include:

Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on compressors, cryogenic pumps, and auxiliary mechanical systems.
Troubleshooting system faults, identifying root causes, and implementing timely solutions.
Conducting mechanical overhauls, including disassembly, inspection, replacement of worn components, and reassembly.
Ensuring that all mechanical and electrical interfaces comply with project and safety standards.
Working aboard LNG vessels, both during dry dock operations and while sailing.
Coordinating with vessel engineers, shipyard teams, and other service technicians to ensure smooth commissioning and operational readiness.
Maintaining detailed maintenance logs, technical reports, and diagnostic records for each project.
Participating in equipment calibration and mechanical alignment processes to ensure optimal performance.
Providing technical support and advice to client teams regarding system operation, spare parts management, and performance optimization.
Adhering to safety protocols and international maritime regulations while working on site or on board.
