Job Description
The position of Management Trainee Engineer (MTE) at Treet Battery Limited is a full-time, structured entry-level role designed to integrate fresh engineering graduates into a real-world industrial setup. MTEs are introduced to the operational and technical environments of the manufacturing plant and are provided with opportunities to contribute to ongoing industrial projects from the start of their journey.
MTEs are rotated across departments such as Production, Quality Assurance, R&D, Maintenance, Health & Safety, and Supply Chain to help them develop a holistic understanding of battery manufacturing operations. Each rotation is guided by department leads who assign learning objectives, monitor performance, and provide feedback.
In the production department, MTEs will assist in monitoring daily production activities, identifying efficiency gaps, and helping implement lean manufacturing practices. They will be exposed to high-speed assembly lines, forming machines, and battery plate handling equipment. Through hands-on learning, trainees will become familiar with material flows, shift planning, and safety protocols.
In Quality Assurance, the MTEs will support the team in conducting inspections, preparing test reports, analyzing defect trends, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. They will understand ISO standards, testing protocols, and how the company ensures quality throughout every stage of production.
The Research & Development (R&D) team will involve MTEs in product improvement studies, testing of new battery prototypes, data analysis, and supporting documentation. MTEs will help explore new materials, alternative chemistries, and design optimization based on market and performance requirements.
The Maintenance department will expose MTEs to the world of preventive maintenance, equipment diagnostics, and fault rectification. Working alongside experienced engineers, MTEs will learn how to ensure the uptime of machines and handle emergency repair scenarios with a methodical approach.
Health and Safety is another critical area. MTEs will learn the importance of compliance, hazard identification, and environmental regulations. They may be required to assist in safety audits, drills, and awareness programs under the guidance of the EHS officer.
As part of Supply Chain exposure, MTEs will explore procurement, inventory control, and logistics management. They’ll assist in demand planning, raw material tracking, and coordination with suppliers.
Throughout the program, trainees are expected to document their learnings, maintain project reports, and submit monthly performance evaluations. The company believes in developing both technical and soft skills, so regular workshops on communication, leadership, time management, and conflict resolution are conducted.
Each trainee is assigned a mentor who provides professional guidance, career planning support, and encourages learning from mistakes. Feedback is taken seriously and is used to modify individual learning paths. Periodic performance reviews determine readiness for higher responsibility.
At the end of the training period, which typically ranges from 6 to 12 months depending on performance, selected trainees are absorbed into permanent roles. These could be junior engineer positions in production, quality, or maintenance, or even project-based roles in the R&D and operations teams.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates who want to be involved in practical, on-ground engineering roles that drive visible results. Treet Battery Limited offers not just a job, but a platform to kickstart a meaningful career.
