Job Description

The Management Trainee Officer (Electrical) role at Samira Fabrics is a gateway for fresh graduates to step into the dynamic and evolving world of industrial power systems, automation, and textile machinery operations. This position is designed to equip trainees with the technical knowledge, operational understanding, and leadership mindset needed to succeed in the textile sector.

As a trainee, you will work under the guidance of experienced electrical engineers and plant supervisors. You will gain first-hand exposure to electrical distribution systems, industrial panels, motor controls, preventive maintenance, and energy management systems that power one of Pakistan’s most technologically advanced textile facilities.

The training program follows a structured approach — beginning with orientation, safety awareness, and basic plant operations before gradually introducing advanced technical and managerial responsibilities. You will be encouraged to apply your academic knowledge to solve real-world engineering challenges within the plant environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the electrical maintenance and engineering teams in day-to-day plant operations.
  • Learn to inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems, control panels, and power distribution boards.
  • Monitor the performance of electrical machinery and suggest efficiency improvements.
  • Support troubleshooting activities for breakdowns and help in root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure continuous plant uptime and smooth machinery operation.
  • Participate in energy audits, load assessments, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain documentation for maintenance records, inspection reports, and technical logs.
  • Follow all safety procedures, ensuring compliance with plant policies and electrical safety regulations.
  • Contribute ideas for improving operational efficiency and energy management.

This role requires curiosity, attention to detail, and a desire to learn from practical exposure. Fresh graduates will receive mentorship from senior engineers and department heads, helping them transition smoothly from classroom learning to industrial experience.

The MTO Electrical program also introduces participants to leadership and teamwork dynamics — understanding how different departments collaborate to ensure production continuity. With time and performance, trainees may advance into key roles such as Junior Electrical Engineer, Shift In-Charge, or Maintenance Coordinator, depending on their progress and interest areas.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must hold a BS in Electrical Engineering or a DAE in Electrical Technology from a reputable and accredited institute. Candidates awaiting final results or recently graduated within the last 12 months are also encouraged to apply.

This opportunity is primarily for fresh graduates; however, candidates with up to one year of relevant industrial experience may also be considered.

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, single-line diagrams, and control circuits.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, drives, and automation principles is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools like multimeters and energy analyzers.
  • Strong grasp of power factor correction, load management, and grounding systems.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work in a fast-paced plant environment.
  • Analytical thinking and a structured problem-solving approach.
  • Eagerness to learn from feedback and apply knowledge practically.
  • Discipline, punctuality, and professional integrity.

Work Environment

The MTO Electrical position is based at Samira Fabrics’ Faisalabad plant, a modern, high-performance textile manufacturing facility. Trainees will work in a plant-based rotational shift setup, ensuring exposure to different operational conditions and time schedules.

The company promotes a culture of learning and mentorship, offering each trainee the support and resources needed to develop technical and managerial confidence. You’ll work under skilled engineers, interact with production heads, and be part of energy optimization and automation projects designed to improve the plant’s efficiency.

Career Growth

At Samira Fabrics, the MTO program is more than an entry-level role — it’s a foundation for long-term growth. Successful trainees often progress to permanent roles after completing their training period. The company recognizes talent and performance through structured career development paths, allowing motivated individuals to move into supervisory and engineering roles within 1–2 years.

Graduates from this program develop not only technical proficiency but also an understanding of process management, quality standards, and sustainability — all essential qualities for future leaders in Pakistan’s textile industry.

  • Market-competitive salary package with performance-based increments.
  • Mentorship by industry experts in electrical engineering and industrial operations.
  • Opportunity to work on real-time projects and improvement initiatives.
