Job Description
Position Overview
Lucky Core Industries (Polyester Business) is seeking a skilled and motivated Manager Electrical & Instrument (E&I) to plan, supervise, and execute maintenance activities across the plant area. This role is critical for ensuring maximum equipment availability, reliability, and operational efficiency within the Polyester division.
As the Manager E&I, you will lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs, oversee troubleshooting activities, and contribute to continuous system improvement by analyzing performance data and implementing solutions that enhance equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and execute Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) maintenance activities within the respective plant area to maximize equipment availability.
- Analyze and optimize preventive maintenance schedules, identifying opportunities for ongoing system improvements.
- Develop robust documentation systems to ensure that reliable and retrievable maintenance history records are archived for future reference.
- Assist in investigating critical equipment breakdowns and repetitive failures, identifying root causes and recommending measures to prevent recurrence.
- Enhance plant reliability and conversion efficiency by implementing corrective and preventive measures.
- Demonstrate hands-on troubleshooting expertise with Siemens Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Understand and modify PLC programs, including existing logic, for system improvements.
- Develop and implement training modules and case studies related to CP Plant operations, aimed at enhancing the technical skills of E&I staff.
- Work collaboratively with plant engineers, maintenance teams, and operations departments to ensure safe and efficient plant functioning.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, following company and industry best practices.
Core Competencies
- Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, and automation in industrial environments.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex electrical and instrumentation faults.
- Familiarity with modern industrial control systems including PLCs, DCS, and automation technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle high-pressure maintenance situations.
- Leadership and people management skills to guide maintenance teams effectively.
- Strong communication and documentation capabilities.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- BSc Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering from a recognized university.
Experience
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in maintenance within chemical, petrochemical, or fertilizer plants.
- Demonstrated experience managing E&I systems, troubleshooting industrial automation issues, and optimizing maintenance processes.
Technical Requirements
- Sound knowledge of Siemens VFDs, PLC systems, and electrical instrumentation.
- Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and process instrumentation drawings (P&IDs).
- Hands-on experience with plant maintenance management systems.
- Understanding of safety regulations and preventive maintenance procedures.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to polyester, polymer, or continuous process (CP) plant environments.
- Experience developing training modules and mentoring technical staff.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode effect analysis (FMEA).
