Job Description
The Manager Spinning is responsible for leading production and maintenance operations at ILS U-2, ensuring smooth execution of the spinning plan, maintaining product quality, and achieving production targets. This position reports to the DGM Technical and involves close coordination with production, maintenance, and quality assurance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily visits to the production floor to assess operational efficiency and equipment performance.
- Review previous day’s production reports, quality metrics, and machine issues with the production in-charge.
- Implement the spinning plan as assigned by the DGM Technical and guide subordinates for effective execution.
- Maintain optimum product quality and ensure compliance with defined yarn standards and technical specifications.
- Supervise maintenance teams to minimize downtime and enhance machine reliability.
- Ensure timely procurement of spare parts, materials, and maintenance tools.
- Provide hands-on technical training and guidance to workers and junior engineers.
- Maintain strong coordination between production and maintenance departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle special assignments or improvement projects as directed by supervisors.
- Ensure strict compliance with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) policies.
- Monitor daily production targets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports on operational performance, efficiency, and equipment utilization.

Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Textile Engineering, specializing in Yarn Manufacturing, from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- 9 to 12 years of experience in spinning operations, focusing on maintenance, production, and process optimization.
Functional Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of spinning operations and machinery.
- Strong understanding of production planning, maintenance protocols, and machine part functionality.
- Familiarity with cotton quality parameters, yarn quality standards, and catalog-based machine maintenance.
- Excellent knowledge of troubleshooting spinning machinery and optimizing machine performance.
