With growing project volumes and expanding client requirements, Accrescent Engineers is hiring for a Managerial Role in Automation & Power Control. This position is based in Karachi and is aimed at professionals who are ready to move from technical execution to project and team leadership.

Job Description
The Managerial Role being offered at Accrescent Engineers (Pvt.) Ltd. is designed for mid-career professionals with technical experience in industrial process automation, control systems, and power engineering, along with the capability to lead projects and people.
The selected candidate will not just oversee projects—they’ll own the delivery process from planning to execution, mentoring a skilled team, managing client expectations, and ensuring that every system installed meets performance and safety standards.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Project Leadership

Lead the execution of automation and power control projects from kickoff to commissioning

Develop technical execution plans aligned with client requirements and site conditions

Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and client expectations

Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and vendor coordination

Act as the technical point of contact for clients during project life cycle
2. Team Management

Supervise and mentor a team of control engineers, electricians, and panel builders

Assign responsibilities, review work progress, and troubleshoot team challenges

Conduct performance evaluations, technical reviews, and skill assessments
-
Build a knowledge-sharing culture within the team
3. System Design and Integration
-
Oversee the design of PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems for various applications
-
Approve panel designs, hardware configurations, and system architectures

Lead the configuration and programming of control systems using Schneider Electric platforms
-
Manage integration with field instruments, sensors, drives, and communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, etc.)
4. Client Relationship Management

Work closely with industrial clients across manufacturing, utilities, food processing, water treatment, and other sectors

Participate in technical discussions, solution scoping, and documentation

Provide after-sales technical support and lead root-cause analysis when needed

Ensure that project documentation, HMI/SCADA screens, and manuals are delivered per agreement
5. Technical Growth and Innovation

Identify opportunities to adopt new tools, technologies, or practices

Stay updated with Schneider Electric product updates and trainings

Recommend improvements in engineering workflows, documentation, and testing protocols
6. Reporting and Documentation

Maintain detailed project documentation including BOQs, I/O lists, FAT/SAT records, and client approvals

Report to senior management on project profitability, delivery milestones, and team performance

Create SOPs and technical standards to be followed across the engineering department

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline

Preference will be given to candidates who have completed PEC-registered engineering degrees

Additional certifications in Industrial Automation, Power Systems, or Project Management will be a plus
Professional Experience:

Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant industry experience

Proven experience in designing, implementing, and commissioning industrial automation projects

Hands-on experience with PLC/SCADA/DCS systems, preferably with Schneider Electric, Siemens, or Rockwell

Sound knowledge of power panels, VFDs, MCCs, switchgear, and safety systems

Past experience in leading technical teams is essential
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in programming Schneider Electric (Modicon) PLCs and SCADA platforms (EcoStruxure, Wonderware, etc.)

Familiarity with communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus RTU/TCP, Profibus, CAN)

Understanding of low and medium voltage power distribution systems

Ability to interpret electrical drawings, wiring schematics, and P&ID diagrams

Strong troubleshooting skills—able to resolve on-site issues independently
