Job Description
Position Overview
Omega Dairy (Pvt. Ltd.) is hiring a qualified Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in industrial systems, maintenance, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient operation of mechanical equipment, enhance production reliability, and contribute to the company’s continuous improvement and growth initiatives.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth equipment performance, optimize mechanical systems, and troubleshoot technical issues that impact operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, installation, and repair of mechanical systems and dairy processing machinery.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all mechanical equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
- Identify opportunities to optimize processes and reduce downtime through predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
- Apply engineering principles such as Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Materials Science to improve system performance and energy efficiency.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, maintenance documentation, and equipment specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Supervise contractors and technicians working on mechanical installations or upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and dairy production lines.
- Support new equipment design, testing, and commissioning to maintain consistent quality and production output.
- Stay updated on modern mechanical technologies relevant to food and dairy manufacturing.

- Excellent understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment.
- Analytical mindset for diagnosing mechanical failures and identifying cost-effective solutions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar mechanical design software.

Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a relevant mechanical or industrial engineering role.
- Experience in dairy, food processing, or beverage industries will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong foundation in Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Materials Science.
- Experience with mechanical maintenance systems, rotating equipment, and industrial utilities.
- Knowledge of HVAC, piping systems, pumps, and heat transfer equipment.
- Understanding of energy conservation techniques and plant optimization.
