Hutchison Ports Pakistan, based in Karachi, is expanding its technical team and currently looking for a skilled Mechanical Technician.
Job Description
The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting hydraulic and mechanical systems, particularly those used in port handling equipment like reach stackers and empty container handlers. The role requires hands-on experience with diesel engine maintenance, overhauling gearboxes and pumps, and ensuring equipment reliability through preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic and brake systems

Overhauling diesel engines, gearboxes, pumps, sheaves, and drums

Performing shaft alignments and engine rebuilds

Maintaining diesel engines and gensets, especially Cummins models
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
-
B.Tech or DAE in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
-
5 to 10 years of relevant hands-on maintenance experience
