2. Job Description
Vital Petroleum SYNERGY is currently hiring for multiple roles across engineering, design, business, and administrative functions. These positions are suitable for both seasoned professionals and graduates looking to start their career in a structured, industry-relevant environment.
Below is an overview of each position currently open:
1. Senior Process Engineer
As a Senior Process Engineer, you’ll be responsible for leading process design activities, evaluating system performance, and supporting the execution of large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
- Conduct simulations and technical evaluations
- Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation, and project teams
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and client standards
2. Graduate Process Engineer
Ideal for fresh graduates in Chemical or Process Engineering. You’ll work under supervision on live projects, learning how to design, analyze, and implement process systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating engineering documents and calculations
- Support project teams with data collection and analysis
- Learn design tools and simulation software
- Attend site visits and technical meetings
3. Product Development Engineer
This role focuses on engineering new product concepts, prototyping, and refining product features for commercial release.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in product design and testing
- Liaise with R&D, production, and marketing teams
- Prepare technical documentation
- Conduct design validations and feasibility studies
4. Project Engineer
Project Engineers at SYNERGY coordinate project execution, vendor communications, and technical reviews. This role requires multitasking, time management, and interdepartmental collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project timelines, resources, and deliverables
- Prepare project documentation and technical submissions
- Coordinate with procurement and design teams
- Ensure quality standards are met during execution
5. Junior Drafter
This is a design support role that involves preparing 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent tools. Suitable for candidates with a diploma or certificate in drafting/design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and revise engineering drawings
- Ensure drawing accuracy and formatting
- Support engineers with layout and design documentation
6. Sales Engineer
A client-facing role requiring technical and commercial understanding. The Sales Engineer will promote products and services to prospective clients while ensuring alignment with technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to client inquiries and prepare proposals
- Attend meetings, presentations, and client visits
- Coordinate with technical teams for solution development
7. Marketing Executive
This role is suited for candidates with a marketing or communications background who can create campaigns, manage social media, and support branding efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop marketing materials, content, and outreach plans
- Manage digital campaigns and monitor engagement
- Coordinate with design and product teams
8. Finance and Admin Lead
This is a management-level position overseeing finance operations, reporting, procurement, and general administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reports
- Oversee payroll and vendor payments
- Manage administrative support functions
- Ensure compliance with internal and statutory policies
3. Eligibility Criteria
Vital Petroleum SYNERGY encourages applications from qualified Malaysian citizens who meet the educational and professional criteria listed below:
For Engineering Roles (Process, Project, Product Development):
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering
- For senior roles: minimum 5–7 years of experience
- For graduate roles: recent graduates (0–1 year)
- Familiarity with engineering standards and design tools (AutoCAD, Aspen HYSYS, etc.)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
For Junior Drafter:
- Diploma or technical certificate in Drafting/Design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent software
- Attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings
For Sales and Marketing:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, or Business Administration
- 1–3 years of experience in B2B or industrial sales/marketing
- Ability to understand technical products and explain them to clients
For Finance and Admin Lead:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management
- At least 5 years of experience in finance and administration
- Familiarity with accounting software and payroll systems

Malaysia
Positions are based in SYNERGY’s local offices. Specific locations will be shared during the interview process. All roles are open to Malaysian citizens only.
